Pacelock

A free Pomodoro timer that helps you plan before you start.

Plan your next study or work session

Pacelock is a free online Pomodoro timer with a session plan. Choose a concrete goal, split it into work blocks, and keep distracting thoughts in one place while you focus. No account required.

How it works

  1. Choose a goal. Name something you can work on today, such as “Practise exercises 1–12”.
  2. Plan your blocks. Give each block a task. Choose 25/5, 50/10, 15/3, 90/20, or custom work and break durations.
  3. Start the timer. Work on the current block. Use the thought capture field to park distractions for later.
  4. Review the session. Look back at your blocks, focus time and captured thoughts before deciding what comes next.

A simple plan for a study session

For a chapter review, try three 25-minute blocks: read and take brief notes, recall the key ideas without your notes, then check the gaps. Take a five-minute break between blocks. If that feels too much, start with one 15-minute block.

Do I need an account?

No. Your session and history are saved in this browser. They do not automatically sync across devices, and clearing browser storage can remove them.

Can I share a session plan?

Yes. “Share plan” creates a link containing your goal and blocks so someone else can load the same plan. Anyone with the link can read those details; it is not a live shared timer.
